A New Day

So, as of 4:30pm yesterday afternoon, we are no longer homeowners. I was expecting to only sign the Hud and a Deed. I surprised we were there for a half hour and a half hour is a long time to sit at a table trying not to cry. It is only temporary. I have to keep reminding myself of that right now. We are fortunate our home sold so quickly and I need to start moving forward. There really is no sense in being so sad when really nothing sad has happened. It is just the turning of a page.

I had a fitful sleep last night. I'm still getting used to the new noises of the transition house and Nate was a bit fussy last night. Oh and Madison decided at 3am that she needed a potty break. She NEVER did that at the old house. I think she's just doing rounds for now.

The faucet in the kitchen is finally fixed, after six hours of work. What an expensive fix for the homeowner! That guy charged $875! He did an awful lot of work. I'm convinced this homeowner could care less about the property from what I've seen. Thankfully it all happened in the early days so that we won't be blamed for it.

On to happier subjects! Nathan is turning 1 on Sunday. I cannot believe it! Time really flies. I know I say that all the time. We are going to have a little b-day party for him on Saturday. Since we just moved, we will just have pizza or I might pick up sandwich trays. Please! That would be sufficient even if we hadn't just moved. :) Marc laughs that we will have plenty of seating with the boxes scattered about. What more could you ask for?

Well, I'm off to check my email. It is raining and grey here, BUT I picked up Starbucks this morning. Starbucks can remedy almost any glum mood! :)

A new beginning! It is actually exciting, to have had your house sell so quickly and now to have the freedom to find the perfect house in the perfect neighborhood where you can put down roots for a long time.

Happy Birthday Nathan! I can't believe that the babies are turning one. I just ordered invites and a cake for Gabriel's little party. What are you getting Nathan? Aside from it just being Christmas, the kid needs no toys and doesn't have a clue anyway. I think we may get him a couple books and that is it.

Why are you letting that little boy grow so fast?? I hope he has a wonderful birthday. I am having a bit of difficulty with strange noises in the new house too.

It is a turning of a page and it is a good thing, tough right now, but good. Good luck to you and I can't believe Nathan is going to be one all ready!
