That's right. We're all fighting a cold at various stages now. I had it first so, I suppose I am responsible for infecting our entire house. :) The kids and I were supposed to go to my mom's this weekend, but it looks like we'll be hanging out here instead.
We picked up Nathan's RX today, it was a compound so it took a bit longer. It turns out that insurance won't cover it because it is a version of Prilosec, which is available over the counter. The only catch to that is that it is available only in PILL format. Um...I'm not a genius, but even I know that a baby cannot swallow a pill, especially one that is only a month old! Good grief. Needless to say, we'll be disputing that nonsense. I can't wait to send them a "DUH!" letter. :)
I also picked up GV today at the Target. I had them special order it from their wholesaler since I had to wait for Nathan's medicine. I have started having symptoms again, even though I have finished my entire round of meds. I'm not sure what that is all about.
Well, it is late and I am off to try to get some sleep. Have a good night!

Aw what a bummer - on Valentines Day too! Hang in there, and rest up...
Eek! I hope you all feel better soon. I can't believe they would give you PILLS for a one month old - that is ridonkulous!
Bring back Thankful Thursday :)
awww, man! i hope you all get better soon. like, really soon.
HUGS! Feel better soon you guys.
And, what the heck is going on with the insurance people these days? :eye roll:
Jess, we have colds here too. Even Gabriel seems congested- ugh. And our thrush battle continues too. I feel fine for a day or so and then the pain starts again and the redness returns. It always happens when I take a day off from the GV. Hang in there!
Jess - on the reflux front - we've been at war with it for a long time. We use zegerid - and use the mixing instructions on www.marci-kids.com - it's omeprazole - the generic for prilosec - and very easy to dose for kids. If Nathan were on 20mg a day (a common dose), you would add 6.5ml water to the powder, and it makes 10ml total, then give 5 ml in the am and 5 ml in the pm. We use 10ml syringes. Anyway, the www.zegerid.com site also has a $30 coupon per month you can use for the copay.
There are also prevacid solutabs....we can't do those b/c they contain milk and soy and ds is allergic to them, but I know many little kids do well on them.
GL getting over the colds!
Thrush stinks! I would love to hear that Duh letter! Are they serious? Have a great day.
