I swallowed a turkey, really!

I hope everyone had a great holiday! We sure did. I have officially concluded that Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and, although I didn't get to see everyone I wanted to this year, it was absolutely wonderful!

My mom spent days preparing for the big feast and it showed! Not only was the food awesome, but there was enough to feed a small country left when we were finished. Of course, we were happy to help with the leftovers. I have eaten a turkey sandwich every day since. I would be happy to eat them for another week, but alas, I'm nearly out of turkey. You should see my waistline! Ha ha! Thanks, Mom! It was soooo good.

We also had the chance to visit with my dad and his side of the family on Friday. Of course, another good meal. This time, ham. Yum! We had our Christmas exchange while we were there and it was so much fun. Sydney is going to be a blast this holiday. She is really into opening gifts. She helped my grandfather open a package and she was disappointed to find a shirt. She looked at me and said, "I don't want this." I had to crack up.

We spent the rest of the holiday vegging, eating, napping and just doing as little as possible. It was absolutely wonderful! :) How lucky are we? We did manage to make it to the grocery store yesterday to pick up a few things for the week and to pick up a pile of groceries for the food drive. I'm excited to say that our building filled our huge tub with canned goods and then some! I will be delivering lots of food to the FBA meeting on Wednesday afternoon.

I didn't cook once over this long weekend. I missed it. I have a new appetizer recipe to try this week for my Christmas dinner. I'm looking forward to making it. Too funny and totally lame! :)

Well, I'm looking forward to reading all the blogs I missed while I was out of town.

Have a great day!
