So, my little two-year-old angel got very upset with me this morning. Wow! That's new. Not! :) Sydney decided that she didn't want to get ready for school this morning. She didn't want to brush her hair or teeth; keep her shoes and socks on; or, most of all, get in the car.
We managed to accomplish all of our morning tasks, at a very slow speed, and as we were backing out of the driveway the following conversation occurred:
Sydney: Mommy, I want a sticker.
Me: Sorry, Syd. No sticker today. You were not a good listener this morning.
Sydney: That is not nice, Mommy.
Me: Sorry about that. Maybe tomorrow you'll be a better listener and then, you can have a sticker.
Sydney: Stop it, Mommy..or I'll put you in the trash!
Me: (trying not to laugh/cry) Sydney, you do not talk to Mommy that way. That is not nice.
Wow! My silly daughter wants to throw me in the trash. Where do they come up with this stuff? :)

Somehow, I'm imagining Bert and Ernie on Sesame Street....that was a long time ago and I'm not certain that it is a program that kids watch nowadays. I'm glad you wrote this one down. It was so cute.
I'm sure you'll look back one day at how funny that is - but right now, it isn't funny. My 3 year old is doing similar things to me lately - trying to bargain her way out of doing stuff, and manupilating the situation. UGH. Wish I had answers of what to do. Unfortunately all I can do is offer my sympathies.
That is too funny. Taylor tells me, "You're fired, Mommy." Don't I only wish!!!!
OK, so I know I shouldn't be laughing as much as I am over this, but I am! Ella is right there with Sydney in her requests for treats and she also has very amusing (and, yes, RUDE) responses to me when she isn't getting what she wants. This story will be a great memory for you both one day!
I do not know, but that made me smile. When our son was 2, my husband asked him what he wanted for Christmas. He thought for a moment, looked at him with a big smile and said,"Three New Mamas"... Wouldn't Daddy have been happy with that arrangement...
Too funny! I don't know where kids come up with such funny stuff! I'm sure she doesn't really want to throw you in the trash though :). We'll have to plan our friend chicken night sometime soon, I'd love to see her antics in action! Oh and I updated on my blog!
Oh my gosh that is HYSTERICAL! How funny!
